I couldn’t resist getting a bunch of Mimosa from the florist’s.
I spotted it at once amongst the buckets filled with multicoloured flowers, but none matching the powerfull yellow and strong fragrance of mimosa. I was propped back with sudden momentum to my childhood in Provence – dry rocky landscape, mesmerizing blue sky and bold sun in the heart of winter, the walks in the hills, the many smells emanating from brushing past rosemary or treading on low growing hardy clumps of thyme. And hedges full of mimosa, you can sense them from far away, even before you turn the winding path and then see it in full bloom…
Sweet experience.

Mimosa – beautiful colour, and yes makes us think of those sunny places.
if you squint carefully at the photo, you can see the shape of a poodle !
Try it – very cunning, did you do that on purpose ?
absolutely not, I’m not keen on those furry creatures, as you know well…
