Late gems

I ventured at night to spy on my garden, and I was to happy to see the natural beauty of dahlia and sunflower, still blooming fiercely despite the wind and the enormous quantity of water that have fallen on Botanic Bay recently.
The dahlia has big holes in its bottom leaves, they are all redesigned, cut, and nibbled at… by the enormous slugs that have appeared with the downpours of rain.

Note that since I have discovered that they are very keen on the border collie’s pooh, I am only too happy to dump them in the bin if they are busy sucking on the brown smelly pellets !
